Back to Nairobi

Early this morning, I finally arrived at the Nairobi International Airport. The trip was almost 48hours. I flew Kagoshima – Inchon – Bangkok – Nairobi. This time, I spent almost a day in Bangkok. I met new people on the street, enjoyed local foods, and shopping. I love shopping in South Asian countries. I will update about the trip later.

After coming back to Nairobi this morning, I had a wonderful lunch: BRAAI, which means BBQ in South Africa with people working for d.light, Nairobi. The garden of the country director’s house was so beautiful, the weather was pretty and the braai was so yummy.

Then in the evening, I met John form Acumen Fund, NY and discussed my fellowship program and then went to have dinner with John and Rutendo, another global fellow working in Nairobi. This follow up system is very helpful for us to review our progress. In fact, I do not have any significant progress yet, talking with him helps me to process my thoughts.

Today was the first day back in Nairobi since I left here for Japan last Christmas. Also it was another first day that I recognized how much I appreciate that I have this great opportunity to work with d.light, Acumen Fund and other talented global fellows.

Tomorrow morning, I will be back to the work…!
I will update some pictures later when I have time.
